About Time…

How long have we been waiting for the new series of Dr Who?

Too flipping long.

What a relief, therefore, that after far too great an absence, it’s back, we can relax, our Saturday evenings are saved.  All across the country families are relaxing into the 6-7 p.m. routine of settling down in front of BBC1 for a fest of monsters, running, jumping, exploding and not-quite innuendo of a PG rating.  Nerds of the world relax!  For there is no problem which cannot be fixed with a sonic screwdriver, a bit of time travel, and a large red button labelled ‘bang’.

    NEVER PRESS THE RED BUTTON.

For only a small additional fee, we’ll sell you this little blue button to get you back down.

Sooooo glad I’m not the only one glad to see this back on our screens! My family are calling me a geek for being excited about it! (And to think it was my mum who introduced the show to me twenty years ago!) Only problem is episode five is the last one before Xmas day…

I love the Doctor and have watched it through all its incarnation, even John Pertwee, but I am afraid that I cannot abide Matt Smith as the Doctor.
