This is the reminder before the event itself, that in a few days time on – on Thursday the 23rd of this month, in fact, myself and Benedict Jacka will be signing copies of our respective books in Forbidden Planet, Central London, between 6 p.m. – 7 p.m., and if you mosey up you can get a copy of these (hopefully epic) tomes before their publication day, say hello and maybe even have a biscuit. Well, I can’t promise the biscuit part – that may be a fanciful addition spawned from the darkest corners of my imagination – but we live in hope, right? The more, the merrier!

There were biscwits last year; a precedent has been set and standards must be maintained, your public demands it!
Well, the kind offer of a biscuit would be met with grateful appreciation, anyway. ヅ
I’ll be there, Kate, looking forward to meeting you again.

It was great to meet you again! Looking forward to next time (Matthew Swift #5, presumably?), and more bloggy interaction.

Of course, I would remember when I got home that I’ve got a Horatio Lyle book somewhere. Oh well…next time.
Have you ever been to Eastercon? You should do.

Twas lovely to meet you yesterday, thanks for the signing, and I have just spent a happy hour wandering up and down Oxford street with my nose in ‘The Minority Council’ as I bought lunch and other bits and pieces.

Good News from Amazon.co .. regardless of The Official DATE of Publication my – Paperback ..ah well, cant be helped, and the HARD Back For Real MEN, and also Women, will turn up one of these days – copy of ‘The Minority Council’ is on its way as of today, Saturday, and so that’s next weekends – Lady Friend on way to Visit her Folks down South – Entertainment Diversion Taken Care Of.
I hope that The Signing was well attended and that The Publishers did provide packets of frozen peas ..Terry Pratchett swears by their efficacy in to easing the Pain at the wrists of Signing Lots Of Paperbacks … all Right Thinking Persons will Proclaim that it would have been so much more satisfactory, and re-remunerative, if you’d been signing Hardbacks whilst sipping delicately from a solid Silver Mug of Vintage Champagne ..that afterwards would have been presented to you by Grateful Publishers.

After seeing Arnold’s post I rushed to Amazon.com and ordered my copy of The Minority Council, hoping beyond hope that they would ship it quickly rather than waiting until May 1st, but alas, it would appear Amazon.com will not ship until May 1st.
Amazon.co.uk, however, appears to be shipping immediately to UK addresses at least. All of you UK residents color me green with envy–Not only do you get the new book two months ahead of us, but you had the opportunity to go to the signing, meet Kate AND get a signed copy of the book… Oh well. I will have to start checking off days on the calendar.

I walked into my house half an hour ago to find that my bathroom has been completed, big smiles! And then into my kitchen to find that I had a delivery from Amazon… I ripped the packaging apart to find my hard copy of The Minority Council! Sooo happy now! But also rediscovered an old problem. Real books need bookmarks… I will not stand for creases in my book spines! Oh how I wish I were not dieting so I could just fall back on the kitkat wrapper of old!
Looking forward to the next eight hours or so uninterrupted to read my new book! Thank you!
