I'm sorry, but I will not base my vote on what some anonymous bloke on a blog written by one of my favourite authors tells me to do, after reading some article in a newspaper. NOBODY tells me who to vote for, that's bordering on Stalinist or Fascist, in a democracy the voter makes up his or her OWN mind based on the data available from numerous sources, and certainly not on one single subject like the BNP. Objectionable scum though they are, they are a minor distraction compared to all the other issues, such as huge amounts squandered on useless IT projects, continual messing with the education system, vast amounts poured into the NHS while denying patients life-extending treatments. These are vote worthy subjects, the BNP are a sidenote who will have little impact outside some inner-city areas.

I find myself a floating voter for the first time ever. But I have been influenced by an article in the Observer at the weekend that alleged that the Lib Dems are "absent without leave" from the fight against the BNP at a local level, and given that I find it hard to believe that the Tories have much stomach for that fight, that leaves Labour as the only one of the main parties that are doing anything about it. So vote for them!

Hi Kate,

I've just got back from an extended stay (Thanks, volcano) in America.
I ended up going into a few bookshops and I saw Midnight Mayor in everyone of them, including Wal-mart.

Politics is something I tend to avoid talking about, generally speaking, as frank discussions can turn a little...heated, shall we say. However, I must admit, by and large, I generally tend towards your school of thought on the subject. I do love the ‘Sacred Chant’, when my Quotes app on my phone gets fixed I'm going to add that to my personal additions. Rather puts me in mind of ‘The meek shall inherit the Earth. If that's alright with you?’
