Really nice post, very entertaining, and also fascinating, in that here is a blog by a published, successful, author, who's stated ambition is to be a theatrical lighting technician. Extraordinary, and rather wonderful, as in most other cases it would be the other way round. I truly hope the theatre work comes to fruition, while at the same time not impinging on the writing, as the books are giving me an enormous amount of enjoyment, which I would like to see continue for as long as possible. Selfish? Moi? Possibly, but but books like yours, Kate, are an absolute joy to own and read, and, like those of Mssr's Pratchett, Zelazney, Tim Powers, Charles Stross, Neil Gaiman, continue to read and re-read, and look forward to as well for many years to come.
