What I love most about the graffiti on the Caledonian Road that you photographed is that it's the window of a paint shop. Genius!

I've always found Graffiti very compelling. Sadly, I live in a small town in upstate New York so there is very little of it to see... And what Graffiti there is, is often done in poor taste. Thank you for sharing these pictures with a small-towner like me and a greater thanks for sharing your book. It genuinely opens up a new world capturing not only the supernatural, but also providing a taste of the city to my poorly deprived palate.

I am sure you receive fan mail all the time, so I will keep my gratuitous flattery to a minimum. Simply said: your writing is beautiful, adventurous and unique.

I look forward to your next novel.

Kate, if you get the chance before the end of August, try to visit the Bristol Museum and Art Gallery, at the top of Park Street. They have a fantastic exhibition of Banksy's work. It's really worth the effort, but get there early, the queues are rather long! You also need to go through the whole building, he's hidden little pieces and paintings in among the other exhibits. Brilliant.
